The functions of this Institute is being monitored through the following sections of this Institute and the Section wise deployment of Staff Section is

Function/Task Immediate Relief   –  To a person or Family left in helpless conditions due to sudden death, illness, physical or mental    in capacity , unemployment, desertion, or imprisonmentof the earning member

Function/Task Assistance for   Poor House Hold  to get   Electric Connection   Free of cost.  (L.I.G.)

Procedure 1. Application in the prescribed form- available in the Office of Block Development Office.
2. The Electricity Dept. prepares the estimate for Electric connection.
3. The Electricity Dept.  submit the estimate  to Provedoria  for payment. Provedoria makes the payment to the concerned Electricity Dept. by Demand Draft subject to the maximum of Rs. 1250/- and then Electricity Dept. releases electric connection
List of documents Firm quotation for low tension services from Electricity Department towards service connection charges under LIG scheme.

Function/Task Assistance for purchase of Artificial Aids /Appliances to physically handicapped

3.Certificate from the Doctor certifying the disability and nature of Artificial Aids /Appliances required in  prescribed format.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 15 of the Legislative Diploma 1984 dated 14/04/1960, the Government of Goa hereby notifies the Recolhimento de Serra” Altinho, Panaji Goa under the Provedoria, Public Assistance Department as a Night Shelter for the Homeless for the whole State of Goa.

Entry to the shelter is dependent upon availability of beds and an essential risk assessment which is performed by night shelter staff. Bag searches are carried out on entry to ensure the safety of the staff and other service users
